Ain't love a kick in the head!

The flowers are ordered...the last r.s.v.p accounted for. You've attended to every last detail to complete the wedding of your dreams. Well, maybe not every detail.

Often times, brides neglect the importance of having their hair and makeup professionally done for their big day. What used to be seen as a luxury only deserving of the rich and famous, has quickly become a necessity. Think about it. Are you flowers being designed by the vendor on the street corner that sells out of his truck? Are your caterers famous for their golden arches and french fries? Not likely. Chances are you have spent countless hours sifting through the masses for the perfect florist that's going to bring life to your dream and the perfect caterer that will appeal to your vegetarian Aunt Annie and your steak loving Uncle Tom. So, will your sister be doing your makeup on your big day?

On your wedding day, you want to look and feel your absolute best...at your most radiant and beautiful moment. After all, these moments will be captured by your carefully selected photographer. As an on-site bridal beauty service we understand that your style and personality are truly unique. Whether you choose a look that's modern yet classic, polished up natural or one of pure sophisticated glamour, rest assured, your look will be completely your own.

Spring is in the air!

If wearing pastel eye shadow makes you instantly feel like a unicorn or fairy, you’re not alone. But luckily, this season in makeup is all about soft, deliciously subtle washes of color, just enough to make your eyes pop. Follow these simple steps to create a look that’s simply enchanting –minus the fairy dust!

First things first: Choose a shade. If you’re a little color shy, chose a shadow that is sheer and has a hint of shimmer. These shadows will have a softer look while those that are more matte will be a little more dramatic. Lavenders and peaches are
flattering on virtually any skin tone. Those with lighter eyes and fairer skin can also opt for a ethereal pink or silvery blue shade while those with darker features will look great in lucent yellows and delicate greens.

These shades look best when applied with a light hand. Using a soft brush, apply your shade from eyelid blending into the crease. Next, reapply a little more of the same color into the crease, or wet your brush before dipping into shadow for more intensity and added depth. If your feeling adventurous, use a different shade in the crease, but choose one that complements your original shade or one that is in the same color family. For instance, if you choose a pale blue, try blending a soft green in the crease.

Finish with 2 coats of mascara. You can also lightly line eyes with a black or brown eyeliner, being careful to stick as close to the lash line as possible. The idea is to not necessarily line the eyes, but to provide an anchor against the sweetness of the
pastels and create definition.

Keep the rest of the face equally soft and fresh. A little dusting of blush and a swipe of gloss is all you need to compliment this effortless look! Sticking with blush and lip colors from the same color family or undertone as your shadows will give you the softest, sheerest look possible. Choosing a shade that’s opposite your shadow’s undertone will make those peepers pop!

Happy Spring!
